Every year, thousands of children in the Sacramento area get to spend a week at an innovative science camp in the scenic Eldorado National Forest. Too many local kids miss out on such opportunities because their families can’t afford the cost. Such is the situation for students at Ethel Phillips Elementary School in south Sacramento. In 2017, Soroptimist of Metro Sacramento together with Ethel Phillips parents and students and a grant from Sly Park Science Camp raised enough funds to send every sixth grader to camp! We want to do this for 2018 and you can help in this effort by donating. 100% of funds collected for this effort go to the camperships.
