Sharon Liberatore (left) presented Cass Brown Capel, President and Program Director of Save Ourselves Sacramento (SOS), with a grant from our Community Assistance Fund at this week’s SIMS meeting. The money will help SOS do a badly needed technology update to strengthen and support its contact with those it serves.

SOS works in our community to

  • promote breast health awareness through outreach and educational activities
  • encourage those with breast cancer to be well-informed, active participants in decisions about their treatment
  • provide emotional support from others who have been in this position themselves
  • help people explore how to build more meaningful lives after diagnosis of this life-changing disease
