Jump Ropes and Reading, Hooray!

Thank you art for Ethel's Village

Ethel's Village, our ongoing service program at a local elementary school, steps in for kids wherever we find a need. The school's jump ropes recently disappeared. They were a recess staple, and a perfect way for children to get active, learn skills, and cooperate. So Ethel's Village made sure new jump ropes were available. One teacher handed us a stack of thank you notes from her class that made us smile. Who would think that "Soroptimist" would become one of the children's vocabulary words?!

Dear Soroptimists,

Thank you for the jump ropes
and the books and
helping us learn to read.
I love you.
Sincerely, Glynis

Thank you, kids, we love you, too.
